It must be the jews
edit: not the jews
have you ever noticed that all mcdonalds have become drab grey box buildings? Ronald went corporate and wears a suit now with no makeup.
I heard someone say all the fast food are the gray modern buildings because when they go out of business it's easy to just turn it into a new thing. But that doesn't make sense for McDonalds cause they're a crypto-real estate company.
And also I guess their customers used to be children but now it's adults
It only needed to be "fun" long enough to become an established foothold in the American (later global) diet.
They understood what we Norwegians understand. That it is cool to make everything look sad and terrible.
You have to sell the fun/cultural icon side first to normalize it in the states. That's why those weird algorithmic tiktok trends take hold
I see it as similar to "common house wall colors" were it becomes more grey and bland.
Over the years it has been a shift from quality, fun, family to a more convenient, easy, affordable. The flat colors also come across as "professional" when its just your home or place customers gather making it a flat experience as the goal is no longer a dining or customer experience, it is again fast affordable convenient.
Similar but different brand - what happened to Chuck-E-Cheese? I know they became more or less defunct over time but was it just the cost of maintenance that lead to the decline? I don't think shitty slop horror Freddy's games actually did it in; they probably helped keep brand relevance despite not directly using the name.
While it gradually became less affordable and less worth buying. The fun is taken out and replaced with utter disappointment. even the happy meal toys are cheap shit.
da pizza sucked and they never updated their arcade machines. whereas places like Dave and Busters or Round 1 took off cause they had all the latest fads from Japan. Round 1 specifically being a Japanese company too.
They took the joy out of McDonalds, and started putting human meat in there food, so makes sense innit bruv
